Configuration Options for Pharmacies Dispensing Pet Scripts
A new setting in Refill Assistant (and RxMobility) enables a pharmacy to be set up as a
- Human only
- Pet only or
- Pharmacy that dispenses both human and pet meds.
This setting changes the order and patient set up in the app. These settings are configured by us. Once we have configured the relevant DOB option for your pharmacy, then all app form changes for all users.
Human Only Pharmacy
This is the default option whereby the patient enters his or her name and date of birth. If selected there will be no visible change to the app.
Pet Only Pharmacy
For a pet only pharmacy, the pharmacy now has 3 options to setting a date of birth. These settings then determine what the patients sees in both your app (and website) and what DOB is to be entered by the user.
The DOB options are:
- Pet’s actual DOB.
- Owner’s DOB
- No DOB entry enabled and the app automatically enters 1/1/2000
Human & Pet Pharmacy
This pharmacy setting combines both of the above. Again, for pets, we configure the DOB to be 1 of the following options:
- Pet’s actual DOB.
- Owner’s DOB
- No DOB entry enabled and the app automatically enters 1/1/2000
The form changes by asking the user to select if the patient is a human or pet. If human is selected, the user enters his or her name and date of birth. If pet is selected, the user gets presented with the configured DOB option that we set for the pharmacy.
